Created by CaptureAge, Chronicles is a series of DLCs set in the ancient world, taking the core gameplay and balance of Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition and pushing it a step further by adding multiple new features inspired by the time period, along with a complete visual overhaul. Inspired by the popular Rome at War mod – whose creators are now part of the CaptureAge team – the rich world of classical antiquity was chosen as the setting.
